This colourful installation embodies a sense of nostalgia and the playfulness of childhood, storytelling and folklore, with each creature drawing inspiration from the imperfections and oddities of life.
The creatures are ‘perfectly imperfect’ and completely unique – each one is assembled and embroidered by hand by our London based team, Knit Shop in Scotland and our wonderful outworkers around the UK.
Come along to meet over 100 creatures – from our old-time friend Cyril Squirrel Fox to our newest creature Gloria Hound, as well as selection of bespoke creatures. All brimming with Donna’s playful sense of humour, love of nature and lifelong passion for craft and making.
‘The Creature Collective’ is on display at V&A Dundee until the end of the year.
